OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM ALLIED BOMBING OF MILITARY TARGETS IN AFGHANISTAN CONTINUES The nighttime-only raids on terrorist training camps and airfields has given way to day and night attacks on "targets of opportunity," that is, targets that present themselves as reconnaissance continues, rather than preplanned bombing raids on targets essential to counterattacks, the Pentagon said Thursday.
